The McKillop family has seen tremendous progress with modern hen housing systems developed to improve hen health and welfare. These changes have tremendous advantages by keeping hens out of contact with manure and provide “a safer way of housing our hens with fewer deaths, improved the quality of food safety of the eggs, while keeping costs down,” Ian says.
