Start every day with a podium worthy meal

MISSISSAUGA, February 18, 2014 – Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) have put together two healthy and delicious recipes just in time to enjoy during the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Every day should start with some quality family time and a healthy breakfast made with Ontario eggs. With the Olympics currently underway, many of us have increased feelings of pride regarding our heritage and cheering for our team with family and friends. EFO understands the importance of this and have developed two recipes which can be enjoyed during the Olympics and beyond.

Russian Breakfast Squares and Canadiana Eggs Benedict are recipes that the whole family will love!

Whip up the Russian-inspired dish before hunkering down to watch the exciting winter events together. Eggs and kale are among the main ingredients in this delicious recipe, which are both super charged with health benefits.

Looking for a more Canadian dish? Let your Canadian spirit shine through by preparing EFO’s spin on Eggs Benedict. This recipe features maple syrup and Montreal-smoked meat, two well-loved Canadian ingredients. Canadiana Eggs Benedict is quick and easy to make, so you won’t miss a moment of the action.

Eggs are nature’s multivitamin and loaded with health benefits. It seems 2014 is destined to become the year of the egg, so why not have an “egg-tastic” protein packed meal to keep your energy levels high and your team spirit going all day long!
