For some, it’s not a long drive to success

Current International Long Drive Champion (ILDC) and five-time Canadian ILDC champion Fareen Samji knows a thing or two about success. Not only does Far, as she is known by, strive to always exceed her personal best, her winning formula is something she loves to share with others.

Far spends much of her time mentoring women to get “out of the office, and on to the course.” She stresses the importance of building confidence on the course which in turn can lead to confidence in the office. Historically male dominated, Far encourages women to find their place on the golf course.

Recently, Far was featured on CHCH TV (Hamilton) during a golf tournament to celebrate and share the importance of women building confidence and networking potential that many are currently missing out on.

Despite an already busy schedule with golf and speaking engagements, Far has found the time to write a book, Smashing the Grass Ceiling, which was launched in April 2017. In it, Far shares advice, inspiration and tips for achieving the ultimate goal – success.

Far is not big in stature, and at 5’-5” she is considered small for her sport. Rather than view that as a disadvantage, Far worked hard to prove that bigger is not always better. Better is better.

Egg Farmers of Ontario are proud to support Fareen. Her drive to succeed, motivate and help others as well as her great outlook on life make her a definite winner.
