What is it like having your kids on the farm?
“Raising kids on the farm and having them work alongside their grandparents is truly special. There’s a great sense of pride in passing the torch to the next generation. It’s also a lot of fun spending those moments together with the kids and sharing those experiences. One of the great things about working with your kids, is they understand you better and they also have an ownership that you can’t teach, it’s in them and there’s a lot of value in that.”
What inspired you to become an egg farmer?
“Becoming an egg farmer was about continuing the tradition and carrying the farm forward. I was the youngest of four kids, and the other three pursued different paths, leaving the door wide open for me to stay. Farming never felt like a conscious choice, it’s more about whether it fits or it doesn’t.”
