Egging on participants in the annual Run for the Cure

October 2nd, 2010

Staff and and friends of Egg Farmers of Ontario will once again be handing out peeled hard-cooked (hard-boiled) eggs to the participants in the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure events in Burlington, Barrie and London (Ontario) tomorrow – Sunday, October 3. C’mon by our tent in any of those locations and say ‘hi’. The eggs will make a great snack after a 1 km or 5 km walk or run! This is the 19th annual Run for the Cure event. This event is the largest single day, volunteer-led fundraiser in Canada in support of breast cancer research, education, diagnosis and treatment. It will take place in communities all across Canada. I’ll be handing out eggs in London along with some of our egg farmers. The forecast there is for cool, wet weather, but I think there will be enough energy and good vibes in the air to warm everyone up! You can find out more about this worthy event (and make a donation!) at www.runforthecure.com.
