Food Day Event in Elora, Ontario

We’re celebrating Food Day this Saturday, July 31st at the 2nd Annual giant community BBQ in Elora! Egg Farmers of Ontario will be at Grand River Raceway serving egg salad in mini ice cream cones. Other agricultural groups will also be there serving up their specialties. There will be live entertainment, as well as a chance to meet some of the farmers who produce the food we eat. It all starts at 5 p.m. and will go ’til about 8 p.m. Come out and help celebrate and enjoy some of the food we produce locally here in Ontario! If you live too far away to join us, you can have your own barbecue-celebration-party at home. July 31st is actually the 8th Annual celebration of the World’s Longest Barbeque event begun by Canada’s own culinary activist, educator and writer Anita Stewart as a way to showcase the amazing diversity of Canadian food and the Canadians who grow, supply, cook and enjoy it!
