March 17, MISSISSAUGA – Now in its third year, Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is delighted to bring back the #EasterTreeContest just in time for Easter. The contest, which originally launched in 2021, invites Ontarians to get creative and trim a tree with decorated Easter eggs for a chance to win one of five great prizes.
The contest runs from March 17 to April 10, 2023, and participants can join in the fun by decorating Easter eggs and adorning a tree. Contest entries will be judged in three categories for 2023; indoor, outdoor or community tree. To enter, participants must:
Decorate their eggs with any materials, colours and textures;
Trim a tree either inside, outside or in a community setting, such as a classroom, school, community or student activity centre and;
Take a picture and tag @EggFarmersOnt using the hashtag #EasterTreeContest OR email your photo to socialmedia@getcracking.ca.
Participants can embellish a real hard-cooked or blown-out egg or let their imaginations run wild using paper or any egg-shaped recycled materials. We’ve got an out-of-this-world idea here!
Contest entries will be judged by a panel of eggs-perts – Ontario egg farmers! Now is your chance to get that creative energy flowing. If you don’t have a tree – don’t worry! Branches in a vase or flower pot count too! Need some inspiration? We’ve got lots of ideas and egg-decorating tips here.
