  • 1 unbaked 9-inch (23 cm) pie shell
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 250 ml packed brown sugar
  • 125 ml quick cooking oats
  • 125 ml walnuts, chopped
  • 125 ml evaporated milk
  • 125 ml maple syrup
  • 50 ml butter or margarine, melted
  • 5 ml vanilla or maple extract
  • pinch salt
This favourite recipe tastes like a cross between a butter tart and a pecan pie!

Instructions

Combine eggs, brown sugar, oats, walnuts, evaporated milk, maple syrup, butter, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk together until well blended. Pour filling into pie shell.

Bake in a preheated 350°F (180°C) oven until set, 35 to 40 minutes. Let cool, then chill before slicing.
