Egg Farmers of Ontario want to Beat Hunger this World Egg Month!

Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is happy to be back for a second year with our Beat Hunger competition in partnership with The Ontario Association of Food Banks (OAFB).

After last year’s successful contest, EFO will once again be offering an extra 600 dozen eggs to the community food bank that receives the most online votes. Food banks coming in second and third will receive an extra 400 and 250 dozen respectively.

Want to learn to how to cook and make healthy choices all while supporting locally grown food?

Six by Sixteen is a food literacy site to help young people learn to make heathy choices. It was developed by the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), who partnered with 20 industry commodity and local food groups.

Six by Sixteen offers recipes, how-to videos, where to buy local and how to be healthy.

Working together to help fight depressive disorder

Egg Farmers of Ontario has pledged financial support to help fund important research and clinical trials for Rellidep™, an antidepressant drug, for individuals suffering from depression and for society as a whole. Rellidep™, is being developed as a treatment for depression and early studies in patients indicate it may be more effective, have shorter time-to-clinical benefit and be better tolerated than currently-available antidepressants.
