How do I become an egg grader?

Answered by Egg Farmers of Ontario April 29th, 2020

Answer

Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is a non-profit organization that represents more than 500 egg and pullet farm families across Ontario. In addition, EFO supports Ontario’s egg farming sector. It also represents egg farmers across the province.

Egg grading requirements are regulated by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), not Egg Farmers of Ontario. The CFIA is responsible for establishing and enforcing federal requirements related to egg grading, food safety, and inspection.

For more information about Canadian egg grading requirements and regulations, visit the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) egg and egg product requirements.

You can also contact the CFIA directly at 1-800-442-2342.
