Babies can start eating eggs at around 6 months of age. This is when many babies begin eating solid foods.
Health Canada supports introducing eggs at this stage. The Canadian Paediatric Society also supports early introduction. Dietitians of Canada and the Breastfeeding Committee for Canada agree.
Start with a small amount of well-cooked egg. Introduce new foods one at a time. This approach can help you identify any food reactions.
Always watch your baby while they eat. If you notice signs of an allergic reaction, stop serving the food and contact your healthcare provider.
